
81 migrant children arrested by CBP in Arizona
88 migrants, including 81 children, were detained by Border Patrol agents after crossing the border into Arizona, officials said Tuesday.
Of the 81 children, 71 were unaccompanied when the large group was found near Sasabe. after John R. ModlinChief Patrol Agent of the Tucson Sector of US Customs and Border Protection.
Most of the migrants were from Guatemala, he said.
“Smugglers continue to cross large groups of children along the river #southwest border.” Modlin wrote.

Tucson is the CBP’s largest border patrol station, responsible for 23.5 miles along the southwestern border with Mexico and the vast, largely uninhabited deserts of Pima County.
