Only eight teams remain in the Champions League.

The quarter-finals begin on Tuesday with Benfica versus Liverpool and Manchester City versus Atletico Madrid. It continues on Wednesday with Chelsea’s game against Real Madrid and Villarreal against Bayern Munich.

The second leg of the quarter-finals will be played next week with reversed fixtures. If the home and away games are tied at the end of the second game, away goals are not counted. UEFA has dropped the away goals tiebreak ahead of the 2021-22 Champions League.

The winner of Benfica Lisbon and Liverpool meets the winner of Villarreal and Bayern in the semi-final, while the winner of Chelsea and Real Madrid meets the winner of Man City and Atlético in the other semi-final. A semi-final between Chelsea and Man City will be a repeat of last year’s final, while a match between Real and Atletico would guarantee a La Liga team in this year’s final.

Man City and Liverpool are favorites to win the competition as they are on opposite sides of the bracket. Villarreal and Benfica are the two long shots to win the Champions League by a wide margin as they are significant underdogs in their quarterfinals.

Here’s what you need to know ahead of Tuesday’s two quarterfinals games at 3:00 p.m. ET. The odds below apply to the first leg of each quarter-final.
