Collective guilt and the new witch hunt
Hatred is at an all-time high in Washington. Will Congress step in to arbitrate the truth?
“Are you now or have you ever been? a member of the Communist Party? “The question used in Congressional hearings in the 1950s was as a witch hunt against leftists who undermined American freedom of speech. A new witch hunt is sweeping Washington, Silicon Valley and much of the media based on the following question: “Do you have any doubts right now, or have you ever written or said anything that will lower the vote in the 2020 presidential election?”
Anyone who questions the final vote of this election is now literally mocked as a traitor. Regardless of 65 million postal ballot papers (subject to fraud “Far more often, “according to the New York Times) regardless of the last minute changes in electoral processes in key Swing statesand regardless of it Controversy over computer voting softwareAnyone who doesn’t confirm the final vote count is doomed forever – or at least the intent of democratic activists and social media companies.
The definition of treason has expanded significantly in recent weeks to include members of Congress who have legally filed a lawsuit against the 2020 election results. Although the Democrats heavily questioned the Republican president’s victories in 2000, 2004, and 2016 (Nancy Pelosi stated in May 2017: “Our Wahl was kidnapped… The congress has a duty to #ProtectOurDemocracy ”), all the challenges to the results of last November suddenly became unbearable. Forty-eight Democratic Congressmen endorsed a resolution calling for them potentially identify More than a hundred Republican lawmakers have pledged to object to the confirmation of the 2020 election results. The resolution claims that these Republican lawmakers are guilty of violating the 14th Amendment regulation Ban on federal officials of “uprising or rebellion against the [United States]or given help or comfort to the enemy. ”
The expulsion of all of these members of Congress would deprive all voters in those states and districts in order to punish anyone who raises questions about national votes. While MEP Sheila Jackson Lee (D-Tx) claimed America needs healing, she also stated: “Accountability comes before healing. ” [Pg. 136 of transcript]
Both before and after the 2020 elections, the dominant media narrative recited endlessly that electoral fraud was a myth. Facebook earlier this week deleted all posts that contained the phrase “Stop the Steal”. Will a long history of electoral fraud be wiped out by Tammany Hall and other political thugs like a series of Confederate memorials toppled in the middle of the night? After the backlash to the challenges of the 2020 elections, will Americans no doubt now have to accept the number of votes in every state, county and dog field in every election? Why is it now ungodly to assume that politicians who brazenly campaigned and held office would also win elections illegally?
In addition to the new thought bans, anyone who criticized or protested the election result is now jointly responsible for any violence that occurred during the January 6th clash between Trump supporters and police in the U.S. Capitol. After a police officer was fatally injured in hand-to-hand combat, Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY), chairman of the House Democratic Caucus, stated on Tuesday: “There is blood on the hands from every single house of Republican sycophants. Who committed the big lie? This Trump won the election. ” [Sentence breaks accurate for the tweet.]
Most Americans support strong prosecution for those who violently assaulted the police during this clash, but that is not enough for many Democrats or Justice Department officials. They are demanding harsh penalties for hundreds, if not thousands, of people who entered open doors in the Capitol and did not use violence before leaving the building peacefully.
On Tuesday, Senate Majority Leader Charles Schumer said, “Anyone in the Capitol shouldn’t be able to fly and should be “put on the no-fly list” by the FBI and TSA. The Supreme Court ruled in 1999 that the “constitutional right to travel from one state to another” is firmly anchored in our case law. But Schumer now wants to use the no-fly list to repeal people’s rights based on their political activism or political associations, rather than an actual threat they pose to flight safety.
Schumer wants people not to be banned after a federal court conviction, but only because they appear in the wrong place at the wrong time in photos or videos. Federal officials make it nearly impossible to get his name removed from the no-fly listand often torment citizens guilty of only one name that resembles a name that is at some point suspected by a bureaucrat. In 2005, a Stanford University graduate found out she was on the no-fly list when she was handcuffed and locked up overnight instead of being allowed to travel. The FBI refused to disclose why she was on that list, and so did the attorney general Eric Holder confirmed that the reason their case was a “state secret” was not an “administrative error” or “embarrassment to prevent”. A federal judge in 2014 exposed Holder’s lie when he revealed the No Fly listing was the result of an FBI typo. But most of the people who stayed tied to the rope during last week’s brouhaha at the Capitol are unlikely to be able to afford the $ 3 million legal fees required to end federal travel restrictions on this graduate student.
Some politicians talk as if anyone who broke a window on a federal building should be found guilty of trying to overthrow the government. Numerous demonstrators have already been charged with “illegal entryFor last week’s protest. The federal prosecutor’s office will likely attempt to prosecute these piddling charges to get confessions of guilt from scores, if not hundreds of people who cannot afford thousands of dollars in legal fees to prove their innocence. Will the Justice Department try to hold a protester legally responsible for the violence at the scene? Unfortunately the government has a practical association in the “Domestic terrorism” offense under the Patriot Act, defined as violent or threatening private conduct intended to “influence government policies through intimidation or coercion”. Few of the brawls at a rally are needed to turn a protest group into a terrorist unit – even if the brawls are started by undercover provocateurs of government agents. American conservative on-line editor J. Arthur Bloom has already raised Questions about the role of federal informants in the protests on Wednesday. Even people who did not attend the rally where violence broke out could face legal threats from the government if they are charged with “material assistance” (i.e. donations) to an organization that is later charged with terrorist offenses was charged.
Democratic lawmakers will take advantage of the outrage they sparked last week to search for new laws that further dwarf their critics and average Americans. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) MP said on Tuesday: “We have to find out We rein in our media Environment so that you don’t just spit out misinformation and disinformation. “AOC said that people must be prevented from“ saying things that are wrong. ”The progressive icon does not yet have the secret codicil she discovered in the first amendment that entitles Congress to be Truth Czars revealed. But, according to her, a cure must be administered to people who “drank the poison of white supremacy. ”AOC also stated,“ The only way our country will heal is through that actual liberation of the southern states. She did not say whether she favored the type of military dictatorship, which was only ended by a historic compromise following the fraudulent 1876 presidential election. Many Democratic members of Congress may agree with CNN’s Don Lemon, who yesterday stated that anyone who voted for Trump is this guilty of joining the Nazis and the Klan.
With the Trump era shamefully ending with a second impeachment, there is hatred in Washington. Democrats seem to believe that they can restore confidence in elections by demonizing any criticism of officially announced vote counts. But the election results are not passed on from the mountain. Sinai and the precedents now in place could haunt the elections for decades to come.
