Cops look for second suspect in the murder of TN nurse Caitlyn Kaufman
Authorities in Tennessee are looking for a second suspect in connection with the murder of a 26-year-old nurse who was fatally shot on her way to work in early December.
James Cowan, 28, is wanted for criminal murder on suspicion of murdering nurse Caitlyn Kaufman, who was shot dead in her car on December 3rd while driving to St. Thomas West Hospital in Nashville, testifying Wednesday.
Another suspect, Devaunte Hill, was arrested on December 11th in East Nashville. He was jailed for criminal murder.
The police say Hill and Cowan know each other.
Phone records show that both men were at the scene when Kaufman was shot in the shoulder on Interstate 440 around 6:00 p.m., police said.
The authorities have not disclosed a motive for the shooting.
Federal law enforcement is offering a reward of up to $ 5,000 for information leading to Cowan’s whereabouts, and the Nashville Police are offering an additional reward of $ 1,000 leading to his arrest.
