Europe increases security as Brussels cancels the New Year’s Eve event

The New Year celebrations are underway as fireworks lit the skies over Auckland, New Zealand when 2016 arrived. Security in Europe is also higher than usual due to the fear of terrorism. Brussels even canceled its New Year’s Eve fireworks show when Belgian prosecutors announced that six people had been arrested in connection with an attack on the celebrations.
