Ex-cop charged with sexually assaulting a fifth teenager
A retired Pennsylvania police officer on over 100 child molestation charges faced additional charges of alleged sexual assault against a fifth teenager last week, prosecutors said.
The latest victim, blaming former Warminster Township police officer James Carey, came forward just days after authorities announced the arrest of the 53-year-old in April, Bucks County prosecutors said.
Carey, who is a D.A.R.E. Department officials reportedly petted and sexually abused the boy after catching the teenager smoking marijuana, prosecutors said.
The former police officer faces new charges of involuntary deviant sexual intercourse, legal sexual coercion, indecent coercion, endangering child welfare, unlawful contact with minors, underage corruption and government repression.
Carey had faced 122 charges of alleged sexual assault on four boys since 1989.
After leaving the department in 2009, Carey later reportedly worked as a replacement bus driver for Dennis township schools.
