
Footage shows police shooting the suspect at Dallas airport
Dramatic new footage shows the apparent moment police shot and wounded a woman accused of opening fire at a Dallas airport on Monday.
Travelers at Dallas Love Field Airport were seen horrified when what appeared to be a single gunshot rang out, followed by a woman’s agonized screams, video released by CBS 11 shows posted on Twitter.
The clip then shows an officer, gun drawn, speeding towards the area where the suspect was located while authorities yelled for him to lie down and not move.
The scary moment capped an incident in which 37-year-old Portia Odufuwa allegedly fired her gun multiple times into the ceiling around 11 a.m. after emerging from a women’s restroom, Dallas Police Chief Eddie Garcia said during a Press conference.
Nobody was killed or injured.




Authorities said an officer reacted quickly and fired his gun, hitting Odufuwa in the lower extremities. She was taken to a local hospital.
Another video received from CBS 11 Reporter JD Miles and shared online shows showed officers with the injured suspect when paramedics arrived to pick her up.
A motive was not reported and charges against Odufuwa were announced.



Passengers were routed after the shooting began when a woman, Kristen Smith, told the Post that she was waiting with her 10-year-old son at a Southwest Airlines gate when a “crowd started running towards us and ‘run.’ ‘ and said ‘run’. active shooter.’ ”
“First I just saw a young girl running and I thought, ‘She’s just trying to catch a flight,’ and then there was a whole crowd running behind her,” Smith said. “In the climate that we’re in now with all the shooting, people just reacted.”
