“Patria Y Vida”, which means “home and life”, was repeated by demonstrators who took to the streets to protest against the decades-long authoritarian and communist regime in Cuba. The phrase is taken from a popular hip hop song released earlier this year by a collaboration between six Cuban musicians. Manuel Bojorquez sat down with two of the artists behind the hit, which has now become a drum kit for change.
