Here’s how you can watch the coronation of King Charles III live in the United States

The Coronation of Great Britain King Charles III will be instead of Saturday, June 6ththe country’s first coronation in 70 years.

More than 2,000 guests from around the world are expected to attend the coronation, which will take place at 6:00 am ET (11:00 am London time) at Westminster Abbey.

Before the service, Charles and his wife, Camilla, will take part in the King’s procession from Buckingham Palace to Westminster Abbey. After the service, the King and Queen will greet the crowd from the balcony of Buckingham Palace.

Karl’s first son William, Prince of Waleswho is next in line for the throne, will play a key role in the coronation. William’s family – wife Catherine and three children, George, Charlotte and Louis – will also be in attendance. Charles’ younger son, Prince Harry, will also attend, although his wife Meghan and her two children, Archie and Lilibet, will not be attending.

When will the coronation be televised in the US?

CBS News coverage begins at 5 p.m. ET. The procession of the kings begins at 5:20 a.m. ET before the coronation ceremony at Westminster Abbey, which will begin at 6 p.m. ET.

CBS Saturday Morning co-hosts Michelle Miller, Dana Jacobson and Jeff Glor will be hosting live coverage from London on all CBS news platforms starting at 5:00 p.m. ET. They will be joined in London by a team including CBS News foreign correspondents Holly Williams, Mark Phillips, Imtiaz Tyab and Chris Livesay, as well as royal pundits Tina Brown, Julian Payne and Wesley Kerr.

How long will the coronation last?

The coronation is expected to last about two hours. After the ceremony, the King and Queen board the Gold State Coach, a gilded horse-drawn carriage more than 200 years old, for another procession back to Buckingham Palace. The procession follows the same route as earlier in the day and lasts around 30 minutes.

Charles and Camilla will then receive a royal salute from the armed forces of the United Kingdom and Commonwealth in the gardens of Buckingham Palace.

Around 9:15am ET (2:15pm UK), members of the Royal Family will appear on the balcony of Buckingham Palace to watch a flyby of military aircraft and helicopters from the British Army, Navy and Air Force.
