
Iran’s youth avoid elections and use banned social media platforms to make their voices heard

Less than 30% of Iranian youth were expected to vote in Friday’s elections. They are disaffected and despise the lineup of hardline candidates. But that doesn’t mean that young people don’t have political ambitions and opinions. But, as senior foreign correspondent Elizabeth Palmer reports, they tend to voice them on largely banned social media platforms – not at the ballot box.
