Italy is now the number 2 favorite to win Euro 2020.

BetMGM has now reset odds for the tournament as the knockout phase begins. France opened the tournament as favorites and that hasn’t changed. The World Cup defending champion stands at +375 to win the tournament. Over 21% of the tickets were placed in France and 33.2% of the handle – the amount of money wagered on teams to win the tournament – also goes to France.

Italy rose to +550 to win the tournament from +1200 to start with. The Italians are the second most popular betting team at 17.1%, and just under 17% of the handle is on Italy to win. Italy’s number 2 favorite status was bolstered by his strong performance in the group stage. Italy won their three games in the group stage 7-0 on their way to all possible nine points.

Italy will play Austria in the round of 16 on Saturday and would defeat the winner of the match between Belgium (+900) and Portugal (+1250) in the quarter-finals. Belgium is the third most popular betting team at BetMGM.

England are the No. 3 favorites and will face the No. 4 favorites in the round of 16 on Tuesday. England and Germany (+700) will meet to reach the quarter-finals and have good odds due to a slight tie on their side. The Netherlands are the toughest team on this side and will likely face the England-Germany winner in the semi-finals.
