Italy versus England

Regulation tie (+195)

How Italy got here
Italy is in a historic unbeaten run in the final of the Euro 2020. Italy has not lost in all competitions in 33 consecutive games and won every single game at Euro 2020. That is a record for a tournament and it is also part of a record for all European competitions. Italy have won 16 consecutive games (including qualifiers) in the European Championships that enter the game on Sunday.
How England got here
England are in the first European Championship final after conceding a goal from Mikkel Damsgaard in the 30th minute of the semi-finals. It was also the first time England had gone through the entire tournament despite being less than 10 minutes behind. An own goal equalized the match in the 39th minute before Harry Kane’s extra-time penalty brought England to the final.
Italy were a powerful team during Euro 2020 and were happy to give Spain a lot of possession in the semifinals. That won’t happen on Sunday. England don’t play like Spain and this could be a game where possession is fairly evenly distributed.
Therefore, the midfield will be crucial for both teams. Kalvin Phillips and Declan Rice were fantastic in the center of the field for England and Jorginho could take the Golden Ball with another brilliant performance and an Italian win. He is part of a midfield threesome with Marco Verratti and Nicolo Barella. Italy are likely to stick with their 4-3-3 formation while the only question for England is whether they will stay five defenders or four. England have played with a back four for the last two games after using five defenders against Germany.
Regardless of which formation England is playing in, we will place an extension bet after both semifinals have taken 30 minutes more.
