At the school in Cornwall, the two took part in a round table discussion on the importance of early childhood education.
“The importance of adequate support for parents and children in early childhood, and the positive impact this can have on society as a whole, has both been understood by Your Royal Highness and the First Lady through their respective work,” Kensington told Palace in a press release with.
The palace said the Duchess will step up her work in this area with an announcement next week.
During a tour through the “outside of the classroom” the two got to know the five rabbits of the school, for which the students help out. The first lady carried a bowl of carrots to feed them.
Regarding the impact of education in early life, the First Lady said, “This is very important to the Foundation. As teachers at the upper levels, if they don’t have a good foundation, they fall so far behind. It’s amazing to see how far they have progressed. “
When asked about her newborn niece Lilibet, the daughter of Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, Kate replied after the discussion: “I wish her all the best. Can’t wait to meet her because we didn’t, but I still got to know her, so hopefully soon. “
When asked if she has FaceTimed Lilibet, she replied that she doesn’t.
After the round table discussion, the first lady joked that it was too short.
“I wrote down a million questions! I have to call you!” She said.
Before leaving, the women were given small bouquets of flowers by the children.
