Leicester fan pursues Nottingham Forest players

A Leicester City fan watched the Nottingham Forest players after Forest scored a fourth goal in their FA Cup fourth round win over the Foxes.

Forest defeated Leicester 4-1 and Djed Spence scored the final goal in the 61st minute. While he and his team-mates were celebrating, a Leicester City fan made it onto the pitch and tried to interrupt the celebration.

While security failed to let the fan onto the field, he was at least removed from the field relatively quickly. And he didn’t seem too upset with himself either.

Leicester City entered the 2021-22 FA Cup as the defending champions after beating Chelsea in the final last year. However, the Foxes are now eliminated from England’s nationwide tournament ahead of the Round of 16 after upset with a team a league below.

Nottingham Forest are currently eighth in the Championship, the second tier of English football, while Leicester City are tenth in the Premier League. Sunday’s game was Leicester’s third game without a win since beating Watford in January.

Leicester are also joining Manchester United as a Premier League side eliminated by a Championship team in the fourth round. United lost to Middlesbrough on penalties on Friday after the teams drew 1-1 in the rule and in extra time.
