A golfball-sized hailstorm slammed into Louis Tomlinson fans at Colorado’s legendary Red Rocks venue Wednesday night, injuring nearly 100 concert-goers, according to officials and video from the scene.

Seven people were taken to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries and another 80 to 90 people were treated at the scene. West Metro Fire Rescue said.

The injured suffered broken bones and lacerations, according to the rescue service.

“Tonight was the scariest night of my life,” wrote one participant, Nicole, on Twitter.

“It started throwing hail at people in Red Rocks and luckily my sister and I found shelter under a sign. I’m bleeding and my head is bruised from the hail.”

A wild video from Nicole shows the huge hailstones falling, hitting people and covering the ground. On the recordings, people can be heard screaming and crying.

Many tried to protect their heads with jackets, bags and other objects while people screamed in pain.

One participant posted a picture of her arm covered in swollen red patches due to the hailstones. She said she couldn’t make it to her car and was denied entry to Red Rocks when she tried to find shelter.

“Thank you to the Red Rocks concession workers for not letting us in to take shelter because we couldn’t get to our cars. Instead they took us in and laughed at us while I sobbed and had a panic attack,” Bella tweeted next to the photo of her arm.

Another fan who attended the concert also tweeted that she saw workers at the venue recording fans and laughing at “being trampled and hit by hail”. She said she had welts on her head from the storm.

Many fans had taken Ubers or other ride-along vehicles to the venue and were left with nowhere to go when the hail battered the venue’s exterior.

Some on social media warned concert-goers to check for signs of a concussion before bed.

The heavy storm initially caused the concert to be delayed, before organizers finally postponed the performance of the former One Direction band member to a later date.

Several cars were also damaged in the hailstorm.
