Mississippi man threatens police, tags department on Facebook
A Mississippi man was arrested for threatening local police officers in a Facebook post – and tagging the official site of the local police department.
Corey Boyce, 24, reportedly posted on May 28 that he would set fire to Senatobia police houses and search for their families, WREG Memphis reported.
“He marked the police department,” Senatobia police detective Brannon Rushing told police.
“Of course he didn’t care at the time. So we saw it as a very viable threat. “
Boyce was apparently upset that the police had arrested one of his relatives.
The defendant was on parole for aggravated theft and car theft when he was arrested on Tuesday for retaliation against an officer.
He is being held on a bond of $ 150,000, police said.
