Team previews
Netherlands (+1200 to win Euro 2020)
The Dutch get a fantastic draw in their European Championship group stage after missing the 2016 tournament. The Netherlands won 6-1-1 in qualifying and are led by Georginio Wijnaldum and Memphis Depay. The two could soon be teammates from Barcelona too, in addition to their national team cohorts. The Netherlands would have lower chances of winning the tournament if Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk were healthy but he missed the entire season with a knee injury in 2020.
Best bid
Netherlands get 9 points in the group stage (+250)
Ukraine (+8000)
Do you remember Andriy Shevchenko? Today he is the coach of the Ukrainian national team. The Ukrainians won six games in qualifying and not lost as they only allowed four goals. Atlanta’s Ruslan Malinovskyi is the linchpin of midfield and is likely to be on the field with Manchester City’s Oleksandr Zinchenko and West Ham’s Andriy Yarmolenko.
Best bid
Under 3.5 goals in the group stage (-125)
Austria (+10000)
The Austrians are mostly made up of Bundesliga players and are led by former Bayern Munich defender David Alaba. He recently left the German giant for a free transfer and signed with Real Madrid. Alaba is the team’s biggest star and the attack will rely on former West Ham and current Shanghai Port striker Marko Arnautovic. In qualifying he scored six goals. Austria has not won a major tournament since the 1990 World Cup.
Best bid
Under 3.5 goals in the group stage (-115)
North Macedonia (+20000)
Welcome to the big stage, North Macedonia. It is the first major tournament for the team since it was established as an official FIFA team in 1994. North Macedonia qualified for the European Championship via the National League playoffs and defeated Georgia 1-0 with a goal from Goran Pandev to get into the Tournament. Pandev, 37, is the greatest football player in the country’s history.
Best bid
North Macedonia scores 1 point in group stage (+225)
