Sharron Davies Boycotts Nike Over Dylan Mulvaney’s Campaign
Olympic legend Sharron Davies is leading calls to boycott Nike over his campaign with trans influencer Dylan Mulvaney – which she called “literally a kick in the face” for women.
“We can protest,” the retired British swimmer told GB News late Thursday about the divisive campaign, which she says reflects the “total contempt with which women are treated”.
“That’s what we’re left with at the moment because nobody really seems to be listening to the general public,” she said.
“So the only way we can get these companies and governments to listen is to boycott with our wallet.”
Davies, 60, was just the latest to call for a boycott of the campaign, while other celebs took the same action against Bud Light for pasting Mulvaney’s face onto cans to celebrate “365 days of womanhood”.
The silver-medal Olympian said Mulvaney’s sponsored videos flaunting form-fitting Nike training gear “feel like a parody of what women are.”
“It used to be considered an insult to say ‘run like a girl’ – and here we have someone who is very unsportsmanlike, it’s very unsportsmanlike.

“And it’s so frustrating that only 1% of US sponsorship dollars goes to real women in sports that they do that.
“It literally seems like a kick in the teeth, all the time.”
Davies said it was “just so frustrating” to see Mulvaney at the forefront of the campaign, considering the 26-year-old influencer had failed to address the challenges women face when looking for well-fitting sports bras.

“It doesn’t apply to Dylan Mulvaney… It just doesn’t make sense,” she said of the bra the influencer wore.
Davies reiterated her longstanding demands that trans athletes should be banned from competing against biological women and have their own category instead.
“It’s also about finding a place for transporters,” she emphasized.

“It’s not that the sport isn’t for everyone – it absolutely is. It just has to be the right place.
“Let’s discuss this and add categories if necessary. If we can’t talk about it, we can’t solve the problem.”
