Stormy Daniels steps up security over Trump death threats
Stormy Daniels has tightened security over a spate of death threats for her role in the expected arrest of former President Donald Trump – while also enjoying a surge in orders for adult images and their merchandise.
The porn star’s lawyer, Clark Brewster, told TMZ that there has been a surge in threats and “corrosive messages” since Trump, 76, said he was likely to be arrested on Tuesday for silence payments ahead of the 2016 election to an alleged to hide affair.
Though the timing of legal action is unclear — with the Manhattan grand jury still hearing witnesses in the case until at least Wednesday — the NYPD and other law enforcement agencies were put on high alert after Trump called for mass protests.
Daniels – real name Stephanie Clifford – has also stepped up her personal security, Brewster said, without giving details for fear of helping those coming to get her.
Still, as TMZ previously conceded, “Stormy has had security for years when she needs it.”
He also confirmed earlier that they did met with prosecutors.
Since Trump’s warning of his expected arrest, the porn star has responded to a number of people who posted hateful messages on Twitter, including many that have since been deleted.

Others called her a “worthless whore,” “degenerate prostitute,” and a “blackmailer who should be in jail,” TMZ noted.
Trump – who has always denied cheating on ex-model wife Melania, 52, with the porn star – has taken to calling Daniels “horse face”.
She only describes her alleged ex-lover as “tiny”.

In addition to the threats, however, the demand for goods and adult images has also increased. according to a tweet late Monday by the now infamous porn star.
“So many orders came in today! …I’m not even mad about having to go to the post office twice,” Daniels wrote alongside black bags that appeared to be full of merchandise, including calendars, racy autographed pictures and clothes with #TeamStormy on them.

The grand jury has investigated Trump’s involvement in a $130,000 payment made to Daniels in 2016 to keep her from speaking out about a sexual encounter she had with him years earlier.
Trump attorney Michael Cohen paid Daniels through a shell company before being reimbursed by Trump, whose company, the Trump Organization, booked the reimbursements as legal expenses.
Trump denies ever having sex with her.
