Texas prankster sent students to hospital and closed school after using fart spray
A Texas high school student hospitalized six of his peers this week after using a highly foul “fart spray,” fire officials announced Friday.
The student confessed to the foul prank after firefighters and hazardous response teams spent three days investigating reports of “smell of gas” at Caney Creek High School, located about 45 miles north of Houston.
“A student has confessed to bringing a highly concentrated fart spray called Hensgaukt Fart Spray,” the Caney Creek Fire & Rescue unit said.
The odor was first detected on Wednesday, prompting the swift evacuation of all students.
First responders searched the building with gas detectors but couldn’t find any sign of leaks, firefighters said.
Students returned to class the next day despite the lingering smell.
That day, six students were hospitalized after suffering severe headaches from the smell, Caney Creek Fire Chief Raymond Flannelly told KHOU-11. At least eight others said they felt ill.

The school was forced to halt classes for the remainder of the week, despite firefighters confirming the building’s air quality safety.
The trickster finally admitted on Friday to using the fart spray, which was advertised as a gag toy that “creates a smell like real feces and fake vomit”.
The teen probably didn’t act alone, school administrators suspect.
In an email received by PEOPLE, Caney Creek High School principal Jeff Stichler promised parents that the school district would work with the district attorney’s office and “address it to the fullest extent of the student code of conduct and Texas state law.” becomes. ”
