Was a controversial YouTuber detained on charges of child pornography in Mexico City after showing video of sexual assault to millions of followers, reports say.

Yoseline Hoffman, known as “YosStop” on the video platform, was jailed without bail by a judge for using the 2018 gang rape video to shame the victim and launch an ugly harassment campaign, according to EL PAÍS.

Hoffman, 30, showed the footage during a YouTube video on a phone and tried to blame the victim, the report said.

“This woman had a bottle of Moët for three packs of cigarettes stuck in her vagina. Then this woman became very popular because she’s such a slut, ”she said in a video that was later deleted.

The victim, Ainara Suárez, filed a complaint against four men for gang rape in March 2018 at the age of 16. She also claimed the men had video of the attack along with Hoffman and a friend.

Hoffman was arrested in Mexico City after the victim alleged that the 30-year-old YouTuber's phone had footage of the sexual assault.

Suárez – who needed therapy to overcome the ordeal – claims to have been the target of a harassment campaign based on Hoffman’s video.

A lawyer for Suarez said it was clear that her actions were a crime.

“The mere fact that she has saved or played this content is a criminal offense of child pornography. And she herself shows the camera the screen of her cell phone with the video of the rape on it,” the lawyer told EL PAÍS.

The YouTube star addressed the controversy in a message on social media.

“They tried to involve me in a crime I never committed,” she said.

“But I fully trust the truth and common sense. As I’ve said in many of my videos, allegations should be used as a tool to empower citizens. Unfortunately, I am involved in a problem that has nothing to do with me. But I hope that everything will be cleared up and resolved soon. “

Hoffman, the only suspect arrested in connection with the attack, faces 14 years in prison if convicted.
